Sanderson are working with a well-respected financial institution based in Edinburgh, who are currently looking for a Business Service Analyst to join their team and become a collaborator within a growing centre of excellence. You will ideally have a background in financial services, whether this be banking, consumer credit or wealth management. You should also have a baseline understanding of products and business applications utilised by these businesses. You'll be joining a brand new team within an established business who can provide security and progression in a time of global uncertainty.

Role Responsibilities

  • Providing systems and applications support to Business teams within the organisation
  • Service and maintain software applications for Business and Operations departments in expected turn-around times with a sense of urgency
  • Identifying Service Risks and proactively managing through formal company processes
  • Creates and maintains a culture and vision where colleagues are engaged and inspired to deliver within budget and timelines for their customers
  • Support the Service Level management team in the process of determining, negotiating, documenting and agreeing requirements for new and changed services in SLRs (Service Level Requirements), and reviewing them through the service lifecycle into targets in SLAs for operational services

Required Skils

  • Good working knowledge of financial systems in Payments, Loans, Mortgages, Operations areas is highly preferable
  • Technical awareness of Wintel environment with a basic understanding of SQL (running basic queries, understanding how data is structured etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills with a capacity to present, discuss and explain issues coherently and logically both in writing and verbally
  • Ability to manage technical operations simultaneously whilst balancing business priorities and quality
  • Technically aware and able understand complex IT systems then translate that into what it means to the non-technical Business and Operations partners
