Central Government is undergoing a digital transformation and efficiency journey which is creating significant demand for digital, data and cyber skills across the UK. Whilst not all this demand requires security clearance, a good proportion does, and also requires hybrid working presence at key government sites across the UK;, this geographic split is changing gradually as the Levelling Up agenda gains momentum.
To be able to support both government directly and the critical supply chain to these programmes, we have needed to develop deep databases of digital skills, that critically either have, or can achieve, security clearance across all the key regions in the UK.
Our skills as government recruiters is in understanding and conveying the critical importance of these roles to society, to us and to UK plc. Whether it is working on universal credit, protecting against cyber crime, building a national policing database, digitising our borders, or supporting the collection of taxes – a more digital and efficient government benefits us all.
Examples of how we are supporting Central Government projects are:
- Through recommendation and utilising CCS RM6160 we have successfully placed contract Delivery Managers into key positions within one of the largest Central Government departments, driving change and progress on some of the UKs largest Architecture projects. To support these Delivery Managers, we have also successfully filled Technical Architect positions
- Working with a smaller government body, we successfully placed 6 permanent Digital Forensics Officers supplementing a key drive in UK financial crime with a 60% ethnic diversity ratio and in competition with large private sector enterprises.
- Over a six month period, we worked in partnership with a large Government Department on a series of roles across Software Development, Devops, Architecture, Infrastructure, Test and Site Reliability on a contingent labour conversion to permanent workforce project. We successfully placed 16 people in to key roles across the business and significantly improved recruitment process and onboarding.
