Supply Chain Data Analyst (Contract)
£500-£550 pd via Umbrella
Initially for 6 months / Mostly remote, 2days per month required onsite
Leading business is looking to recruit an experienced Supply Chain Data Analyst to help drive smarter, data-led decision-making across our Supply Chain, Logistics and Commercial functions.
You’ll partner closely with stakeholders to understand business challenges, analyse complex operational data and deliver actionable insights that improve performance, availability and efficiency. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving business problems using data and influencing decisions through meaningful analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with Supply Chain, Logistics and Commercial teams to understand business challenges and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Analyse large and complex datasets to identify trends, root causes, risks and opportunities across supply chain operations.
- Deliver deep-dive analysis into key performance areas, including service levels, inventory, supplier performance, logistics and product availability.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports and KPIs using Power BI and SQL to provide clear visibility of business performance.
- Produce insightful commentary and recommendations to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Monitor and report on key supply chain metrics, highlighting exceptions and recommending corrective actions.
- Work with stakeholders to define reporting requirements and translate business needs into scalable analytical solutions.
Experience/skills:
- Previous experience in a Data Analyst or Supply Chain Analyst role.
- Experience working within Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement or Operations.
- Advanced SQL skills for querying and analysing large datasets.
- Strong Power BI experience, including dashboard development and DAX.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Proven ability to perform root cause analysis and identify business improvement opportunities.
- Experience translating data into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
