£660/day Inside IR35 | 6 Month Contract | Majority Remote | Occasional Travel to London | No Clearance Required

We are looking for an experienced Senior Test Engineer to lead testing activities on the a government service, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, user-focused digital services in line with UK Government standards.

Working within a multidisciplinary agile team, you will take ownership of test planning, automation and quality assurance activities, collaborating closely with Product Owners, Delivery Managers and developers to drive quality throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead testing activities across the service, agreeing priorities and delivery plans with Product Owners and Delivery Managers.

* Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.

* Carry out manual testing of web applications where required.

* Deliver functional and non-functional testing, including accessibility, performance and compatibility testing.

* Ensure applications are tested and delivered in accordance with UK Government standards.

* Support CI/CD processes and quality gates through Azure Pipelines.

* Work collaboratively within an agile delivery team to continuously improve testing processes and standards.

Essential Skills & Experience

* Strong experience with Node.js and Java.

* Proven experience with automated testing tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright and/or WDIO.

* Experience delivering accessibility, performance and compatibility testing.

* Hands-on experience with Azure Pipelines.

* Knowledge of Azure cloud infrastructure and services.

* Experience working on UK Government digital services.

* Strong understanding of agile delivery environments and modern software development practices.
