SC Cleared User Researcher | GDS | Central Government
We’re supporting a Central Government organisation in the search for an experienced SC Cleared User Researcher to join a high-profile digital programme.
Contract Details
- Up to £450 per day
- Outside IR35
- 6-month initial contract
- Predominantly remote with occasional onsite requirements
- Active SC Clearance essential
The Role
You’ll be responsible for planning, conducting and communicating user research that influences the design and delivery of digital services, ensuring they meet user needs and align with GDS standards.
Working within multidisciplinary Agile teams, you’ll help stakeholders develop a deep understanding of users through a range of qualitative and quantitative research methods, turning findings into actionable insights that drive better service outcomes.
Key Experience
- Proven experience as a User Researcher within GDS environments
- Strong understanding of the Government Service Standard and user-centred design principles
- Experience planning and conducting research across the full service lifecycle
- Ability to synthesise complex findings into clear, actionable recommendations
- Experience working in Agile, multidisciplinary delivery teams
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design best practice
Desirable
- Experience working on AI-enabled products or services
- Exposure to cloud-based digital transformation programmes
- Previous Central Government experience
Essential
- Active SC Clearance
- Ability to start within contract timescales
