Test Team Opportunities – Defence Digital Engineering Programme

Overview

We’re supporting a major Digital Engineering programme within the Defence sector and are seeking experienced testing professionals across a number of positions to support a large-scale Verification Testing phase.

We are interested in speaking with experienced:

• Test Managers
• Test Analysts
• Testers

These roles will work across a suite of integrated Digital Engineering applications, helping ensure solutions meet defined business and quality standards ahead of deployment. The opportunities are predominantly remote, with only occasional onsite attendance required in Preston.

Available Opportunities

Test Manager

The Test Manager will lead and coordinate end-to-end testing activities throughout the verification testing phase.

Key responsibilities include:

• Defining and managing test strategies and test plans
• Coordinating the creation of test scenarios and test scripts
• Managing test execution activities
• Monitoring risks, issues and defects
• Producing test status reports and stakeholder updates
• Leading engagement with business users, project teams, developers and vendors

Test Analyst

The Test Analyst will design and maintain test scenarios, test cases and test scripts while ensuring comprehensive coverage against business and functional requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Analysing business and functional requirements
• Creating test scenarios, test cases and test scripts
• Defining test data requirements
• Maintaining testing documentation
• Supporting defect triage and resolution activities
• Ensuring appropriate test coverage across systems and business processes

Tester

The Tester will execute verification testing activities and support the successful delivery of solutions through effective defect management and retesting.

Key responsibilities include:

• Executing approved test scripts
• Recording and evidencing test outcomes
• Identifying and logging defects
• Supporting defect resolution and retesting
• Working closely with Test Managers, Test Analysts and development teams
• Contributing to solution quality and deployment readiness

Essential Experience

• Experience within software testing, UAT, verification testing or quality assurance environments
• Good understanding of the end-to-end testing lifecycle
• Experience working with business stakeholders, developers and project teams
• Strong communication and documentation skills

Desirable Experience

Experience within Digital Engineering environments and exposure to any of the following technologies would be highly beneficial:

• Siemens Teamcenter
• BAE PropheSea
• CDS
• DOORS NG
• CAMEO
• CAD tools
• Medini

Industry Experience

Experience gained within Defence, Aerospace, Engineering, National Security or other highly regulated environments would be advantageous.
