The Opportunity
We are partnering with a leading pensions and administration organisation to recruit a Pensions Systems Developer to join a specialist technology team supporting a large-scale pensions administration environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced pensions systems professional to play a key role in the configuration, support and ongoing enhancement of a market-leading pensions administration platform. Working closely with internal stakeholders and third-party software providers, you will help deliver system improvements, technical solutions and platform enhancements that drive operational efficiency and improve the member experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, configure and enhance functionality across the pensions administration platform, including workflows, calculations, reporting, integrations and document production.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for system users and operational teams.
- Collaborate with project, change and business teams to deliver platform enhancements and new functionality.
- Support testing and quality assurance activities to ensure reliable system releases.
- Contribute to development planning, sprint activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Produce and analyse reporting to demonstrate the impact of system developments and enhancements.
- Ensure all development activity adheres to governance, quality and change management standards.
- Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues, helping to build systems expertise across the wider business.
About You
We’re looking for someone with:
- Experience supporting and developing defined benefit pensions administration systems.
- Strong understanding of pensions operations, processes and administration technology.
- Experience delivering system improvements and business-critical enhancements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience configuring pensions administration systems, including workflows, calculations, reporting, payroll, finance or member-facing functionality.
- Advanced SQL skills and experience interrogating, analysing and troubleshooting complex data.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
