ML Engineer

£750 p/day | Inside IR35 | 6 Months | West London (2 days onsite) | BPSS Required

We’re looking for an experienced ML Engineer to join a high-profile programme focused on delivering advanced machine learning and personalisation solutions at scale. This is an excellent opportunity to work with large datasets, cutting-edge ML technologies, and cross-functional teams to build impactful customer-facing products.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, train and optimise machine learning models focused on personalisation, recommendation engines, ranking algorithms, user segmentation and content analysis.
• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines to support feature engineering, model training and deployment across large structured and unstructured datasets.
• Deploy, monitor and maintain machine learning models in production environments, ensuring performance, reliability and ongoing optimisation.
• Design and analyse A/B tests and offline experiments to measure model effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate closely with data scientists, engineers, product teams and stakeholders to align ML solutions with business and user requirements.
• Research emerging developments in machine learning, deep learning and personalisation technologies, identifying opportunities to enhance existing capabilities.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong commercial experience building and deploying machine learning solutions in production environments.
• Hands-on expertise with recommendation systems, ranking models, personalisation, predictive analytics or related ML applications.
• Experience developing scalable data pipelines and working with large, complex datasets.
• Strong Python skills and experience with modern ML frameworks and tooling.
• Proven ability to design, execute and interpret experimentation frameworks, including A/B testing.
• Experience working within agile, multidisciplinary delivery teams.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Role Details

• Rate: Up to £750 per day
• Contract: 6 Months
• IR35: Inside IR35 (via Umbrella)
• Location: Hybrid, with 2 days per week onsite in West London
• Clearance: BPSS required
• Interview: Technical interview process
