We are seeking a Junior Data Scientist to join a high-profile public sector programme, helping to deliver data-driven insights that support critical government services and decision-making.

This is an excellent opportunity for a data professional looking to further develop their career within a collaborative, mission-focused environment. You will work alongside experienced data scientists, analysts and engineers to support the delivery of innovative analytical solutions across a range of complex challenges.

Essential Requirements:

• Active SC Clearance
• SC clearance must have been used within the last 12 months
• SC clearance must have a minimum of 3 years remaining before expiry
• Experience working with Python, SQL and data analysis tools
• Understanding of statistical analysis, data modelling and machine learning principles
• Ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Desirable Experience:

• Government, public sector or defence experience
• Exposure to cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP
• Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau
• Knowledge of AI and machine learning techniques

Responsibilities:

• Support the development of data science and analytical solutions
• Analyse large and complex datasets to identify trends and insights
• Assist in building predictive models and machine learning solutions
• Create reports, dashboards and visualisations for stakeholders
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to solve business problems
• Contribute to data quality, governance and best practice activities
