About the Role
We are seeking a talented Full Stack Developer to join a growing engineering team building scalable web applications and backend services. The successful candidate will have experience across both frontend and backend development, with strong knowledge of React, Node.js, Java, and Python.
You will work closely with product managers, designers, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that support business growth and improve user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack applications.
- Build responsive and intuitive user interfaces using React.js.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Node.js, Java, and Python.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and deliver new features.
- Integrate applications with third-party services and databases.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise application performance.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
- Support CI/CD processes and cloud deployment initiatives.
- Ensure security, scalability, and reliability across all applications.
Required Skills & Experience
Backend Development
- Commercial experience with Node.js
- Experience developing applications using Java
- Experience building services and automation using Python
- Strong understanding of REST APIs and microservices architecture
- Experience with authentication methods such as OAuth2 and JWT
Frontend Development
- Strong commercial experience with React.js
- JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript
- HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web development
- State management solutions such as Redux or Context API
Database Technologies
- SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server)
- NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis)
Cloud & DevOps
- AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Docker and containerisation
- CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI)
- Version control using Git
Development Practices
- Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Test-driven development (TDD) and unit testing
- SOLID principles and design patterns
- Continuous integration and deployment
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Experience with Spring Boot
- Serverless architectures
- Event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
- GraphQL
- Terraform or Infrastructure as Code
- React Native experience
- Exposure to AI/ML applications and Python frameworks
