Rate – £600 – £700 Inside IR35
Duration – 9 months initial
Location – London, Twice a week on site

We’re looking for an Enterprise Risk Manager to join a market leader to maintain and coordinate the enterprise risk management framework and support proactive and measurable risk management, informed decision-making, resilience and value creation.

Key responsibilities:
Maintain and apply the agreed enterprise risk management framework, taxonomy, policy, standards and processes.

• Support the review and calibration of risk appetite, risk tolerance thresholds, KRIs, early-warning signals and escalation triggers.
• Coordinate risk monitoring, mitigation tracking, analytics and decision-focused reporting, including overdue actions and sustained effectiveness.
• Prepare risk analysis and reporting for the Board, Audit Committee and executives, including principal and material risks and emerging risk trends.
• Coordinate Provision 29 activities and the risk section of the Annual Report & Accounts, ensuring evidence-based inputs and strategic alignment.
• Continue implementation and effective use of the Optro GRC risk module, dashboards, integrations and supporting data quality.
• Maintain the global risk champions network and provide practical guidance, training, playbooks and toolkits.
• Coordinate horizon scanning, scenario analysis, stress testing and inputs to resilience and viability assessments.
• Support integration of risk management into planning, investment cases, performance reviews, Integrated Business Planning and major change initiatives.

Skills and Experience:

• Relevant experience in risk management, internal control or assurance, including practical enterprise risk management experience in a complex organisation.
• Practical knowledge of ERM frameworks such as COSO ERM, risk appetite, risk tolerance, KRIs and risk monitoring.
• Experience supporting scenario analysis, stress testing, resilience or viability assessments and monitoring mitigation outcomes.
• Understanding of UK Corporate Governance Code Provision 29 and Annual Report & Accounts risk disclosures.
• Experience using risk data, analytics dashboards and GRC technology; Optro (AuditBoard) experience is desirable.
• Experience working with transformation, technology or cross-functional programmes in a global or highly matrixed organisation.
• Relevant professional certification or progress towards one, such as IRM, FRM, CRISC, CERA, CFA or CIA, is desirable.
