Data Insight Analyst

£500-£550 per day (Umbrella) 6-Month Contract

Mostly Remote, 1-2 days per month onsite

Leading Retailer to bring in an experienced Data Insight Analyst at this busy time.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded Data Insight Analyst who enjoys using data to solve business problems, uncover insights, and influence decision-making. You’ll work with large operational datasets, leveraging SQL and analytical tools to conduct deep-dive investigations, identify key performance drivers, and deliver actionable recommendations that improve business performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse large operational datasets to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and performance drivers.
• Conduct deep-dive SQL analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making.
• Translate complex data into clear, compelling insights and recommendations for stakeholders.
• Partner with Operational, Commercial, and Supply Chain teams to understand business challenges and provide data-driven solutions.
• Investigate performance issues, optimise processes, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Skills & Experience Required

• Strong SQL skills with experience analysing large datasets.
• Proven experience in a Data Analyst, Insight Analyst, BI Analyst, Commercial Analyst, or similar role.
• Retail experience is essential.
• Experience using data to drive operational and commercial improvements.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to translate complex analysis into actionable business recommendations.
