Cyber Security Engineer

£600 pd via Umbrella

Paddington/Hybrid- 3 days per week in the office

Leading business is looking to bring in a Cyber Security Engineer to help strengthen application and cloud security across a complex technology estate.

You’ll work closely with engineering and platform teams to embed security by design, enhance web application protection, improve cloud security posture, and defend against evolving application-layer threats.

Key experience required:

• Hands-on experience in Cyber Security, Cloud Security or Application Security
• Strong knowledge of Web Application Firewalls (WAF) and API security
• Experience with bot mitigation and protection against automated attacks
• AWS and/or GCP security expertise
• Understanding of IAM, network security, logging and monitoring
• Ability to work collaboratively with DevOps, engineering and platform teams
• Experience conducting security assessments, threat modelling and risk remediation

Desirable:

• Cloudflare, Akamai, Imperva or similar WAF technologies
• DevSecOps and secure-by-design practices
• Automation and scripting experience
• Security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, Security+ or equivalent
