Automation Tester – Contract
Location: Glasgow (3 days onsite)#
Rate: £500 per day (Inside IR35)
Duration: 6-month contract
Clearance: DV or SC

We’re looking for an experienced Automation Tester to join a fast-paced Agile team delivering high-quality digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts (UI, API, integration)
  • Build and enhance automation frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress)
  • Identify automation opportunities from user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Execute automated tests within CI/CD pipelines
  • Perform root cause analysis and collaborate on defect resolution
  • Monitor pipelines, manage flaky tests, and report on quality metrics
  • Contribute to sprint ceremonies, promoting quality and testability

Key Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience with automation tools (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium)
  • Programming skills in Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript
  • API testing experience (Postman, RestAssured, Karate)
  • Knowledge of BDD/TDD (Cucumber, SpecFlow)
  • CI/CD tools exposure (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
  • Familiarity with Git and Agile/Scrum delivery
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP) and Docker/Kubernetes (desirable)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • 2-5+ years’ automation testing experience (ISTQB advantageous)

    Overview:

    We’re working with a client delivering a complex ERP transformation programme who are looking to bring in an experienced Test Lead with strong Infor ERP CloudSuite experience.

    You’ll work closely with the Programme Test Manager to coordinate and drive testing across multiple workstreams, ensuring quality across the full lifecycle of the ERP implementation. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone comfortable operating across strategy, coordination and execution within large-scale ERP environments.

    Skills:

    • Strong experience as a Test Lead / QA Lead within ERP delivery programmes
    • Infor ERP (CloudSuite) experience – essential
    • Proven track record across SIT, End-to-End (E2E) and UAT testing phases
    • Solid experience in data migration and integration testing within ERP environments
    • Ability to coordinate testing across multiple stakeholders and workstreams
    • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

      Technical Author – Bristol (Hybrid), £43,000 + Bonus & Benefits

      We are currently working with a leading engineering manufacturer who are looking to add a Technical Author to their team in Bristol.

      In this role, you’ll be responsible for producing and updating technical documentation for a range of complex engineering products. This will include instruction manuals, spare parts manuals, declarations of conformity, and other customer documentation.

      This is a great opportunity for someone with previous technical authoring experience in an engineering environment and a good understanding of mechanical or electromechanical products.

      What we are looking for:

      • Degree, HNC/HND, apprenticeship, or equivalent experience in mechanical or electromechanical engineering
      • At least 3 years’ experience as a Technical Author within an engineering business
      • Experience writing instruction manuals for complex products
      • Experience using XML authoring tools and CCMS systems
      • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and SharePoint
      • Experience with image editing software such as CorelDRAW
      • Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and electrical diagrams
      • Strong attention to detail and good written communication skills
      • Organised and able to manage your own workload
