Head of Corporate Landlord & Surveying – Public Sector

Scotland (Glasgow base with national travel – open to candidates UK wide)

A leading public sector organisation is seeking a Head of Corporate Landlord & Surveying to join on an initial contract basis, with the opportunity to transition into a permanent role.

This is a high-impact strategic leadership position, responsible for overseeing a large and complex property portfolio, shaping long-term estate strategy, and ensuring the effective management and optimisation of corporate assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership across asset management, corporate landlord and surveying functions
  • Lead the development and delivery of a long-term Strategic Property Plan, aligning the estate with organisational priorities
  • Oversee property transactions, acquisitions, disposals, lease management and dilapidation’s
  • Drive optimisation of the estate through effective asset management and portfolio planning

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Significant senior leadership experience in corporate property, asset management, or surveying
  • A strong track record delivering large-scale property strategies and programmes
  • Proven expertise in property transactions, lease management, asset optimisation, and building condition management
  • Demonstrable experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing external consultants/contractors
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at Executive and Board level
  • Experience driving data-led decision making and estates system improvements
  • High levels of commercial awareness, analytical capability, and problem-solving ability
  • A relevant degree and professional membership (e.g., RICS or equivalent)

    You’ll play a key role in driving operational excellence, compliance, and innovation while leading multidisciplinary teams and influencing at a senior level.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Oversee national delivery of hard and soft FM services
    • Lead the management of mechanical & electrical systems, maintenance programmes, and life safety systems
    • Manage supplier and contractor relationships
    • Lead and develop high-performing, multidisciplinary teams across a complex operational environment

    The ideal candidate will have:

    • Extensive senior leadership experience in building services, engineering, or facilities management
    • A strong track record of delivering large-scale property or estates programmes
    • Proven experience managing compliance, life safety, M&E systems, and operational FM delivery

        Indirect Buyer – Financial Services (Hybrid)

In this role you will be influence spending decisions across multiple business areas, running sourcing activity, managing suppliers, and driving commercial value across indirect categories.

        You will play a key role in delivering procurement, sourcing, and supplier management activity across a broad range of indirect spend categories.
        Key responsibilities include:

        • Supporting end‑to‑end procurement, from sourcing and tendering to supplier onboarding.
        • Running your own lower‑value tenders and assisting on complex sourcing projects.
        • Working with stakeholders to define requirements and promote procurement best practice.
