£600 per day (umbrella)
Location: London – 3 days per week onsite
Contract: 3 months

I am currently working with a client who is seeking an experienced Azure DevOps (ADO) specialist to design, configure, and introduce best practices to optimise how the platform is used across the organisation.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing the current configuration and usage of Azure DevOps, including:

    • Requirements gathering processes
    • Sprint management
    • Testing and defect management
    • Task management
  • Collaborating with Change and IT teams to review proposed improvements, providing constructive challenge and informed recommendations where appropriate

  • Implementing agreed changes to enhance system effectiveness, efficiency, and usability

  • Delivering training and communications to Project Management, Business Analysis, and Testing teams to ensure successful adoption

  • Producing clear, concise documentation to support ongoing usage, governance, and best practices

    • AWS Cloud experience is essential

    What you’ll be doing:

        DevOps Engineer

        Bristol (Hybrid) | £60,000-£70,000 DOE

        We’re looking for a talented DevOps Engineer to join a growing technology team, helping to build, maintain and enhance the cloud infrastructure behind an innovative SaaS platform.

        Working closely with software engineers and reporting to the Infrastructure Lead, you’ll play a key role in ensuring systems are secure, scalable, reliable and efficient, while enabling teams to deliver high-quality software quickly and confidently.

        The Role

        As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll take ownership of cloud infrastructure and deployment processes, using modern DevOps practices and tooling to drive reliability, automation and continuous improvement.

        Key Responsibilities

        • Manage and optimise AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring security, performance and cost efficiency
        • Build, maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitLab
        • Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
        • Collaborate with development teams to streamline deployments and improve the developer experience
        • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues and implement long-term reliability improvements
        • Promote infrastructure security best practices, including IAM, secrets management and network security
        • Support and maintain development, testing and production environments
        • Contribute to disaster recovery, backup and business continuity planning
        • Evaluate and introduce new DevOps tools and technologies where beneficial
        • Utilise AI-assisted engineering tools to improve automation, productivity and delivery speed

        Skills & Experience

        • 3+ years’ experience in a DevOps or Infrastructure Engineering position
        • Strong knowledge of AWS services and cloud infrastructure management
        • Hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code principles
        • Experience building and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines
        • Knowledge of containerisation technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms such as ECS
        • Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g. CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus)
        • Strong understanding of security best practices and cloud governance
        • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
