Investigations Officer (Financial Services)

£40,000 | Hybrid | Manchester

A leading regulated financial services organisation is seeking an Investigations Officer to join its oversight team.

You’ll investigate concerns relating to advisers and firms, reviewing customer files, conducting interviews, assessing evidence, and producing clear reports with recommendations to improve standards and customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct investigations into adviser and firm conduct, complaints, and risk concerns.
Review files, business records, and other evidence to establish facts.
Interview advisers and stakeholders where required.
Produce investigation reports and recommend appropriate actions.
Identify and escalate potential fraud, financial crime, and regulatory issues.
Maintain accurate case records and identify recurring trends and risks.

About You

Experience within financial services.
Background in investigations, compliance, risk, quality assurance, or oversight.
Strong analytical, interviewing, and report-writing skills.
Understanding of FCA regulation, Consumer Duty, and risk management principles.
Mortgage and protection knowledge is advantageous.
CeMAP, compliance, financial crime, or investigations qualifications would be beneficial.

Finance Assistant

Rate; Up to £200 (inside IR35/via umbrella)
Location; Bristol – Hybrid Working
Duration; Initial 1 month

Sanderson are supporting a leading financial services brand to identify a Finance Assistant to provide short term support during a period of increased workload.

This is a hands on role that will suit someone with strong Accounts Payable experience who can quickly integrate into the team and hit the ground running.

Key responsibilities

Processing high volumes of supplier invoices.
Raising and managing purchase orders.
Processing employee expenses.
Managing and responding to queries through a shared finance inbox.
Supporting day to day finance administration activities.
Assisting with payroll administration and employee payment queries.

What we’re looking for

Previous experience in an Accounts Payable or Finance Assistant role.
Strong understanding of invoice processing, purchase orders and expenses.
Payroll administration experience would be highly advantageous.
Workday experience would be particularly beneficial.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
Confident working in a fast paced environment and managing multiple priorities.
