Supply Planner

Reading | Hybrid
12‑month Fixed Term Contract

The role

We’re looking for an experienced Supply Planner to join a group supply planning team in a fast‑moving, complex environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring customer demand is translated into a reliable and achievable supply plan, while keeping inventory within agreed targets.

You’ll work closely with manufacturing, supply chain, and planning teams to balance supply and demand, manage risks, and continuously improve planning accuracy and performance.

Key responsibilities

  • Build and maintain supply plans aligned to business and inventory targets
  • Translate demand into weekly, mid‑ and long‑term supply plans
  • Manage and maintain planning parameters such as lead times, safety stock and service levels
  • Build and adjust master supply plans using SAP IBP
  • Identify and manage supply risks, including potential stockouts and excess inventory
  • Support S&OP / supply review meetings with data, scenarios and clear recommendations
  • Track performance against plan and share key planning KPIs
  • Work closely with manufacturing to adjust production plans as required
  • Support budget and future‑year planning activities
  • Collaborate across teams to resolve supply issues and manage unplanned events

What we’re looking for

  • 3-5 years’ experience in supply chain or supply planning
  • Strong understanding of end‑to‑end supply chain processes
  • Confident user of SAP (SAP IBP experience desirable)
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience working with inventory, lead times and demand variability
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑changing, cross‑functional environment

As an Embedded Software Engineer you will be designing and implementing real time software development for a variety of safety-critical products including RF communications and sensors.

      The role will include responsibilities such as:

      • Understanding of embedded software requirements, software design and test / verification processes for efficient real time solutions from concept through to full product lifecycle
      • Strong experience in C and / or C++ for embedded development
