User Researcher (BPSS Eligible)
Location: Remote (occasional London travel)
Rate: £477 per day (Inside IR35)
Duration: 12 months
The Role
We’re looking for an experienced User Researcher to join an Agile team delivering user-centred digital services. You’ll lead research activities that inform design decisions, ensuring products are accessible, inclusive, and aligned to real user needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, scope, and deliver user research across the Agile lifecycle
- Use qualitative methods (usability testing, interviews, surveys, ethnography, focus groups)
- Collaborate with Designers, Product Owners, and Developers to prioritise research
- Turn research findings into clear, actionable insights and recommendations
- Communicate complex research outputs to stakeholders effectively
- Ensure research supports accessible, inclusive, and ethical design
- Contribute to service and design improvements based on user insight
- Facilitate workshops and help teams interpret research findings
- Advocate for user-centred design across teams
Key Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in user research within Agile environments
- Proven ability to translate insights into practical design recommendations
- Experience engaging stakeholders and influencing decisions
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive research practices
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving teams
Desirable
- NHS / healthcare experience
- Mobile app research experience
