As a Software Engineer, you will work closely with a skilled, cross-functional team to deliver improvements and critical changes in an agile environment. You will have the opportunity to shape and deliver modern, scalable, secure, and high-performance applications. This role also involves coaching and supporting other engineers, so being approachable, enthusiastic, patient, and a clear communicator is key.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write high-quality code adhering to corporate and regulatory standards, with automated tests developed alongside.
- Collaborate with the team to deliver new features and enhance existing functionality.
- Provide engineering support for existing applications, ensuring solutions are secure, maintainable, and performant.
- Review colleagues’ code to ensure conformance with established standards and document all solutions to agreed team practices.
- Continuously develop your skills, embrace new technologies, and cultivate strong working relationships across the team and wider business.
Skills & Experience:
- Extensive experience with Java and the Spring framework.
- Experience working with AWS and cloud-native applications.
- Familiarity with Typescript and React is desirable.
- Knowledge of professional development methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and automated testing.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaborative skills, with the ability to work independently when needed.
This is a full-time, permanent role offering a starting salary up to £65,000 (DOE) and a remote-first working model.
