Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain scalable full stack applications and microservices
- Build modern, user-focused web applications using contemporary front-end technologies
- Work closely with stakeholders, product teams and technical specialists to translate business requirements into effective solutions
- Develop secure, reliable and high-quality software using modern engineering practices
- Contribute to the design and implementation of cloud-based solutions
- Participate in agile delivery teams, collaborating across disciplines to drive successful project outcomes
- Support continuous improvement through best practices, automation and knowledge sharing

Skills and Experience
Essential
- Extensive experience building microservices using Java and Spring Boot
- Experience developing front-end web applications using JavaScript and/or TypeScript, React, HTML and CSS
- Experience using Git for version control
- Experience with repository management platforms such as GitHub or GitLab
- Experience using Docker and Docker Compose
- Experience with CI/CD tools and practices, including platforms such as GitLab, GitHub or Jenkins
- Experience working with cloud technologies, particularly AWS or Azure
- Experience working within agile delivery environments
Desirable
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
- Experience building and integrating with NoSQL databases, particularly MongoDB, or SQL databases such as PostgreSQL
- Understanding of web standards, accessibility requirements and software development best practices
Additional Advantage
- Experience developing microservices using C#
- Experience building solutions that integrate with large language models (LLMs) using tools such as Vercel AI, LangChain or similar frameworks
- Experience working with government digital design systems and templating frameworks such as Nunjucks
