Telford / Bath / Letchworth (2-3 days per month in office)

What we are looking for

An experienced governance professional to join a growing team within an established financial services environment. This is a newly created role within an evolving function responsible for delivering governance oversight across key client engagements, including strategic outsourcing partnerships.

In this role, you will take ownership of governance activities, stakeholder engagement, and performance oversight, helping to enhance and mature existing governance processes. You will play a key part in ensuring high-quality reporting, strong regulatory alignment, and effective stakeholder communication while contributing to the ongoing development of a more centralised governance function.

Knowledge & Experience

* Strong experience in governance delivery within a regulated environment
* Proven track record managing governance forums, reporting cycles, and action tracking
* Experience working with SLAs, KPIs, and performance reporting frameworks
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and bring structure to an evolving environment
* Experience within financial services

Desirable:
* Experience in life & pensions or insurance environments

What you’ll be doing:

Managing governance frameworks across assigned clients or areas from initial oversight through to continuous improvement
* Leading governance forums, ensuring effective agendas, actions, and outcomes
* Overseeing SLA and KPI performance reporting, ensuring accuracy and insight
* Identifying, managing, and resolving governance issues and escalations
* Producing high-quality reporting packs and management information
* Liaising with internal teams and stakeholders to gather information and drive outcomes
* Supporting audits, incidents, and remediation activities through to completion
* Ensuring all governance activity aligns with regulatory requirements and internal standards
* Managing and developing analysts within the team
