Digital Business Analyst Consultant

About the Role

As part of the continued evolution of a leading digital transformation and consulting organisation, the team is increasingly helping clients design and deliver AI-enabled products and services.

This includes supporting organisations to:

  • Identify and prioritise AI and data-driven opportunities
  • Embed automation and generative AI capabilities into digital products
  • Deliver more intelligent, insight-led user experiences
  • Navigate emerging considerations around data, ethics and the responsible use of AI

Business Analysts play a key role in bridging business needs with technology and data, ensuring solutions deliver tangible value while remaining focused on user needs.

As a Digital Business Analyst Consultant, you will join a growing digital and innovation practice that values collaboration, knowledge sharing and continuous learning. The team is passionate about user-centred design, critical thinking, problem solving and creating high-quality digital products and services.

You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of major public and private sector organisations. This role offers a hybrid working model, with occasional travel required depending on project needs.

Key Responsibilities

As an Agile Business Analyst, you will:

  • Help clients understand and explore how, where and why to apply digital and AI-enabled technologies and platforms
  • Advise, design and deliver products and services that drive meaningful business transformation and value
  • Play a pivotal role in end-to-end user-centred design projects, working across design, product, development and testing teams
  • Work within multidisciplinary Agile Scrum teams to understand user needs, translate requirements into user stories and define acceptance criteria
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure successful product delivery
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships while using analytical thinking, problem-solving and communication skills to help teams achieve their goals
  • Support the delivery of user-focused, data-driven and innovative digital solutions

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Experience working on user-centred product or service development projects
  • Experience within multidisciplinary Agile Scrum teams, supporting delivery from research and design through to development and testing
  • Experience working with recognised digital service standards and frameworks
  • Proven ability to translate user needs and business requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Experience acting as a bridge between business requirements and user needs, as well as between traditional and Agile delivery approaches
  • Proficiency with requirements capture and backlog management tools such as JIRA
  • Technical business analysis experience, including familiarity with concepts such as microservices, APIs and cloud infrastructure
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence, manage conflict and build collaborative relationships
  • Experience supporting and facilitating Scrum ceremonies and team activities
  • Excellent analytical thinking, communication and problem-solving skills

Desirable Experience

Ideally, you will also have:

  • Experience working across multiple industries such as the public sector, utilities, financial services, consumer goods and retail
  • Experience supporting internal team operations through activities such as recruitment, mentoring, training, people management or business development
  • Professional certifications in Business Analysis, Agile delivery, User-Centred Design or related disciplines
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies including AI, automation and data-driven product development
  • Exposure to AI or machine learning use cases within digital or technology delivery environments
  • Experience with or interest in generative AI tools, including copilots, automation solutions and content or code generation technologies
  • Familiarity with using AI tools to support analysis, documentation or technical design activities
  • Awareness of AI ethics, governance and responsible AI considerations
