IT PMO Lead

Reading- 3 days per week onsite

Base salary to £70,000 + disc. bonus up to 15% (with over-performance targets available), 6% pension, 23 days leave

Following recent internal promotion we are now looking to recruit an experienced IT PMO Lead who will support and manage the end-to-end management of a £30m+ IT portfolio of projects and programmes. You will act as the main liaison between IT and globally distributed business units to capture, assess, prioritise and plan business demand.

Sat within the office of the CIO you will support the management of our IT portfolio, ensuring it aligns with business strategy and delivers expected outcomes. As the IT PMO Lead you will also:

  • Monitor, track and manage all capital expenditure (CapEx) budgets
  • Support financial planning and analysis of the IT portfolio
  • Establish and maintain IT governance process and ensure its adherence against project in delivery
  • Identify, track and manage risks and issues across the IT portfolio
  • Create dashboards and produce all project and portfolio reporting up to board level

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key and central role in the supporting of a large portfolio of change. The right person we are looking for will have as much of the following attributes and experience as possible.

  • You will have a background in portfolio level change.
  • You will need to previous experience of managing CapEx budgets, to a reasonable scale.
  • You will have implemented risk management frameworks before.
  • Exceptional relationship building skills are needed.
  • If you have worked for a company with multiple locations across the world then this is a real nice to have.

Working as the sole PMO Lead, supported by contractor PMO analysts when needed, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of our central IT portfolio.       Sanderson are working closely with a leading consultancy company for 2 Project Support Officers for a large complex public sector programme. This will be a hybrid role with a couple of days per week on site in Canary Wharf.

      Key requirements:

      • Project Documentation and Reporting i.e. prepare and maintain workstream documentation, including plans, schedules, and status reports. Track milestones and deliverables. Provide regular updates to the workstream lead and stakeholders
      • Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for workstream-related communications. Facilitate meetings and communication for the workstream. Ensure that all stakeholders are informed of progress and issues
      • Coordinate meetings, including preparing agendas and taking minutes. Support the workstream lead with administrative tasks as required
