We are working in partnership with a well-known and highly regarded global client at the forefront of their industry. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a well-known brand on a well-run, long-term data project.

As the Product Owner for Global Dormancy, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring that the company’s data dormancy products comply with global data privacy regulations. You’ll be at the forefront of building and optimising data solutions that securely and efficiently manage data deletion in line with industry standards.

Overview of Responsibilities

  • Partner with legal and compliance teams to translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable product features.
  • Write detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications to ensure that both business and legal requirements are fully addressed.
  • Develop and communicate a compelling product vision, roadmap, and strategy that aligns with business objectives, all while effectively managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Manage the product backlog, prioritizing features based on business value and urgency to maximise impact.
  • Own governance processes and engage stakeholders to ensure alignment, transparent communication, and timely delivery.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to global data privacy laws such as GDPR, CPRA, and COPPA.
  • Evaluate the impact of evolving privacy regulations on current and future products and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Promote a “test and learn” approach to product development to drive innovation and optimise outcomes.

What We’re Looking for

  • Track record of success in a Product Data role as a Product Manager / Product Owner, ideally on Data Governance / Data Dormancy
  • Strong knowledge of Privacy Laws, Data Governance and Security Practices
  • Experience in a large, complex environment with the ability to work with a range of stakeholders.
  • Experience within the media or entertainment industry preferred.

    We are working for a well-established, growing B2B Software Client who are looking to hire a Customer focussed Product Manager with experience in a software business who can be the glue between the functions and champion customer needs. No deep specific technical skillset required. You’ll be the driving force behind the product strategy and manage the medium and long term view of the roadmap

    This role can be based from home, with occasional travel to customer sites to build relationships and analyse customer needs as required.

    They are part of a wider network owned by a Private Equity Fund, allowing opportunities to progress in the long run in a future leadership program or into a planned potential Product Director within the business as they expand the Product team over the coming months and years.

    What You’ll Do

    • Lead 2 Product Owners
    • Define and maintain a strong product vision aligned with business goals
    • Have an understanding of customer needs and market trends to influence strategic direction
    • Manage the medium and long term view of the roadmap
    • Build relationships with different areas of the business – technical, sales, marketing etc.
    • Maintain the Customer Engagement Strategy, understanding their needs and pains including user feedback
    • Overseeing the product team’s prioritisation of the backlog

    Experience Required

    • Experience in a Product Management role within the software industry highly desirable
    • Experience line-managing Product Owners or similar colleagues previously highly desirable
    • Very strong stakeholder management skills – someone who can build relationships, portray the product vision and champion customer needs within the business – essential

        This role would be fantastic for someone who has experience owning a digital platform and working closely with engineers in the software space.

        Your key responsibilities:

        • Turn feedback from customers and stakeholders into clear tasks for the development team.
        • Manage and prioritise the list of new features and improvements (the product backlog).
        • Make sure our software meets user needs and delivers a great experience.
