Technical Delivery Manager or IT Project Manager

Edinburgh (Hybrid)

£550 to £700 per day – Umbrella company only

An excellent new opportunity has just become available to join one of the world’s leading providers of life insurance & pensions as a Technical Delivery Manager or IT Project Manager.

This role will be working on the Retail Value Stream and may have the opportunity to work on the simplification transformation across their technology estate.

The ideal candidate will be:

• All round IT Project Manager (blend of infrastructure, application & digital)
• Extensive experience within Life & Pensions
• Strong knowledge of leading large scale transformation projects
• Strong Agile understanding – comfortable working and delivering in incremental deliveries / sprints – but with the pragmatism of how to approach a waterfall organisation transitioning to Agile
• Exceptionally strong candidate that is self-driven and motivated and enthusiastic

Essential Skills

* We are looking for an experienced Oracle EBS Solution Delivery Manager to manage the development team (functional and technical) and deliver the Oracle-based solution as a key component of our overall project.
* This will be a varied role, working with key stakeholders, delivery and service teams to produce the right balance of technology and business outcomes.
* Experience managing delivery teams across end-to-end product lifecycles to ensure that resultant systems/services deliver the specified outcomes, within budget and timescale is essential. The right candidate will also have extensive experience managing internal and external teams, with demonstrable experience of Oracle EBS deliveries.
* It is important to have experience of applying appropriate delivery frameworks and methods (e.g. waterfall vs agile), a solid understanding and application of risk and issue management, change control and management, a high level of planning aptitude and the ability to negotiate timelines and other delivery metrics across product lifecycles.
* Must be able to establish and maintain highly effective relationships with delivery teams, stakeholders at all levels.
