User Researcher – GDS | Public Sector

Contract details:

• Remote (must be UK based)
• £450 per day pay to Umbrella
• Early January start

We’re seeking a number of experienced User Researchers to join a major public sector digital programme, working on user-centred services that make a real difference. This is for a Government Department.

This would initially be a 3-month contract with the likelihood of extensions as the project will run for the long-term

You’ll have strong GDS experience and a solid background delivering research within the public sector, comfortable working in agile, multidisciplinary teams alongside designers, product managers and developers. You’ll plan and deliver high-quality user research, translate insights into clear recommendations, and help teams design services that meet user needs and GDS standards.

Key requirements:

• Proven experience as a User Researcher in GDS-aligned teams – Essential
• Available to start a new role in January and/or a 2 week notice period
• Strong public sector delivery experience
• Confident running a range of qualitative research methods
• Ability to clearly communicate insights to stakeholders
