We have an exciting opportunity for a Test Lead to join a market leading company on a permanent basis. The ideal Test lead will be a self-motivated and pro-active software tester with a commitment to delivering solutions of a high quality to time and budget, and an eagerness to learn and continuously improve.
Experience
- Proficient understanding and hands-on application of pension administration practices
- Demonstrated experience in testing web and desktop applications
- Hands-on experience establishing test automation frameworks utilising Cypress.io, Selenium, SpecFlow, or similar versatile frameworks
- Practical expertise in API testing and automation, including proficient use of tools such as Postman, Swagger, SOAP UI, or equivalents
- Competence with MS Azure Dev Ops and JIRA, including practical application
- Familiarity with XML, JSON, JavaScript, and SQL
- Commitment to delivering high-quality results
- Proactive and self-motivated approach
- Strong leadership and management abilities
- Excellent communication skills
Responsibilities
- Crafting the team’s testing strategy
- Overseeing day-to-day management and supervision of the testing process
- Conducting both manual and automated testing of desktop and web-based applications/services
- Participating in design reviews and offering insights on requirements, product design, and potential issues
- Identifying opportunities for test automation
- Generating test cases based on specifications, requirements, and user stories
- Managing defects by logging, tracking, and addressing them through bug tracking tools
- Analysing test outcomes
- Drafting test approaches, plans, and reports
- Generating Test Metrics to facilitate reporting and quality assurance
- Maintaining regular communication with development teams and management
- Providing guidance and mentoring junior team members
