Software Engineering Manager
- Salary: £75,000 – £80,000
- Location: Wiltshire (2 days a week on-site; flexible arrangements possible)
Our client is seeking a seasoned Software Engineering Manager. We’re looking for someone with a proven track record in leading software development teams and driving product delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- People and Process Optimisation: Enhance team performance through effective leadership and process improvements.
- Product Delivery: Oversee the development and delivery of high-quality software products.
- Code Reviews: Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality, though this is not a hands-on coding role.
Team Structure
- Team Size: 12 developers (primarily .NET)
- Experience with Offshoring: Preferable, as we are transitioning back to an in-house team.
Qualifications
- Technical Background: Strong experience with .NET. Familiarity with Jira is desirable.
- Leadership Experience: Previous experience as a Software Engineering Manager is preferred. A Tech Lead with significant management experience may also be considered.
- Strong Leadership Skills: Capable of managing a diverse team with various personalities.
