You will be responsible for leading the delivery of complex hardware and software development projects across defence and technology environments. This role involves managing projects from early concept and bid stage through to delivery and closure, ensuring outcomes meet customer, contractual, financial, and quality requirements. The role requires strong leadership, commercial awareness, and the ability to work effectively with technical teams and senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and deliver competitive bids and project proposals in collaboration with technical and account teams.

Manage end-to-end project delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards.

Provide governance, assurance, and oversight to ensure key milestones and contractual obligations are achieved.

Plan, monitor, and control project schedules, resources, budgets, and risks.

Lead, motivate, and develop multidisciplinary project teams, setting clear objectives and supporting performance.

Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, partners, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

Manage project finances, including forecasting revenue, costs, cash flow, and profitability.

Oversee requirements management, documentation, and configuration control throughout the project lifecycle.

Identify, assess, and actively manage project risks and issues, including timely escalation where required.

Coordinate and support trials, demonstrations, and customer engagement activities.

Ensure all project artefacts and deliverables meet required quality and governance standards.

Contribute to business development activities by identifying opportunities for growth and supporting account teams.

Produce accurate project reporting and performance forecasts for internal and external stakeholders.

Maintain compliance with organisational processes, quality management systems, and security requirements.
