Senior Project Manager – SC Cleared

Location: Milton Keynes, 3 days per week
Duration: 11 months
Daily Rate: £600 per day, Inside IR35
Clearance: SC Cleared

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead the delivery of a large-scale cyber security capability deployment within a secure and complex technical environment. This role will oversee the phased implementation of advanced endpoint detection and response capabilities across enterprise infrastructure, ensuring delivery is aligned with strategic objectives, governance frameworks, and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of a complex cyber security capability deployment, from project initiation through to completion.

  • Manage phased implementation plans, including the rollout of endpoint protection agents across end user devices and server environments.

  • Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project and work plans.

  • Identify and manage project dependencies, risks, issues, and critical delivery paths.

  • Direct and coordinate project delivery teams to ensure milestones and objectives are achieved.

  • Manage project budgets and track financial performance, ensuring delivery remains within agreed parameters.

  • Produce and maintain project documentation, status updates, and governance artefacts.

  • Provide regular executive reporting including board packs, progress reports, and checkpoint summaries.

  • Establish and maintain clear stakeholder communication plans.

  • Collaborate with technical and network architects to ensure solutions are delivered to agreed technical standards and timelines.

  • Support resource planning, supply chain coordination, and pipeline forecasting to optimise delivery capacity.

  • Lead cross-functional teams responsible for strategy and delivery of technical capabilities.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience delivering complex technical or cyber security programmes, particularly within infrastructure environments.

  • Strong project planning capabilities including phased implementation planning, milestone tracking, and agile delivery approaches.

  • Demonstrated experience producing executive-level reporting such as board packs, weekly highlights, and checkpoint reports.

  • Practical understanding of Extended Detection and Response (XDR), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), and Security Operations Centre (SOC) operating models.

  • Experience coordinating testing schedules, change management windows, and deployment planning.

  • Professional certification such as APM PMQ, PRINCE2, Agile Project Management, or equivalent.

  • Extensive experience delivering digital or technical projects in secure or highly regulated environments.
