About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead large‑scale transformation and modernisation initiatives through our consultancy client across central government. This role suits someone who has successfully managed complex, multi‑workstream technology programmes within public‑sector environments. The role is hybrid working in London and is Inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end‑to‑end programmes focused on legacy application modernisation and upgrades.
- Lead on‑premise to cloud transformation programmes (AWS and/or Azure).
- Drive the successful delivery of software and digital programmes across multiple teams and suppliers.
- Provide programme‑level governance, strategic direction, risk management, and reporting.
- Engage senior stakeholders, cross‑functional teams, and third‑party suppliers to ensure alignment and smooth delivery across all workstreams.
- Ensure all projects within the programme meet scope, budget, and timeline commitments.
Essential Experience
- Previous central government experience is mandatory.
- Proven experience managing large‑scale technology or transformation programmes.
- Strong background in legacy system modernisation and cloud migration (AWS/Azure).
- Deep understanding of software delivery practices, methodologies, and governance.
- Experience managing multi‑disciplinary teams and complex vendor landscapes.
