Product Manager

Product Manager – Sheffield, Hybrid, Maritime, Up to £85k

I am working with a leading UK based software company who build innovative navigation tools for the maritime industry. They design software solutions that enable organisations to obtain, process, and analyse large amounts of marine data in a clear and understandable way. You’ll join a collaborative team working on tools used by fleets and hydrographic offices worldwide to improve safety and efficiency at sea.

Their head office is based in Sheffield, but you are not required to be based there. They do expect some office time, but this is on an as and when basis, rather than a set number of days per week.

What will you be doing?

• Manage the roadmap for several related maritime operation apps that aren’t yet connected.
• Work with ship companies, distributors, and developers to create and prioritise the product backlog.
• Gather feedback from users, developers, and sales to build a clear plan for each product.
• Act as a conduit between the development team and industry groups to make sure everyone’s aligned.
• Keep up to date with industry rules and provide advice on how they affect the business.
• Build and lead a product leadership group using knowledge from across the company.

What are we looking for?

• A strong background as a Product Owner ready to take the next step, or an experienced Product Manager.
• Proven experience managing large product roadmaps, including grooming and prioritising backlogs.
• Hands on experience with large-scale data transformation projects.
• Ideally, experience in the maritime industry, though candidates from other sectors with relevant skills are welcome.
