Bristol – 3 days a week on site

Working with a well-known client that are located in the centre of Bristol, who are on the look for 2x contractors with a specialist in Linux – ideally with knowledge of packaging, no specific tools.

Linux Support Specialist, responsibilities:

• Provide on-site day-to-day specialist Linux administrator
• Be part of a small team packaging complex software for our 400 PC Linux teaching labs, which are running Red-Hat 8 derivative Rocky Linux 8.
• In addition to the technical responsibilities, there will be regular meeting participation and academic staff engagement as part of delivering, deployment and testing of these packages
• Building systems, troubleshooting OS, application and connectivity issues
