Our client due to expansion requires an experienced Consulting Manager (Principal Level) to join their team that will lead and deliver IT projects to a portfolio of clients. This is not a role suited to candidates that are solely Project Management orientated but will carry out the following activities as part of the role.
- Develop innovative solutions for complex client situations and ensure meeting of goals and objectives and deliver results to time, cost and quality,
- Manage senior stakeholder relationships.
- Proactively identify risks and issues and work with key stakeholders to agree mitigations and contingencies.
- Deliver high quality service to clients when working independently, leading, or as part of a team.
- Help to support & grow the Delivery Consulting workforce and within the clients’ team.
- Support & lead client engagements, including pitches and presentations.
- Identify and develop current and new business opportunities.
- Lead and support teams in within the client’s team, including client project teams, internal teams and line management.
- Provide coaching and support to junior consultants.
- Communicate with clients when selling work or delivering projects.
- Deliver projects and proposals in line with within the client’s processes.
- Deliver consulting work in line with within the client’s service offerings at the appropriate expectations for SFIA level 5 and 6.
- Actively input into the company strategy and help to deliver strategic initiatives such as marketing, business development, thought leadership, framework development etc.
Indicative skills and experience
- Will have worked ideally within a consulting environment, have worked at least Principal Level
- Client outcome focused and experience in delivering a range of client IT projects, including consultancy projects
- Experience of business development including writing proposals and managing complex bids.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills.
- Security cleared or capable and willing to undergo security clearance.
- Public and / or Defence sector
This role can be based out of office locations in Gloucestershire or London and will have flex Working From Home. In return a competitive remuneration package is offered. Candidates must be UK nationals only and have resided in the UK for the last 10 years to obtain SC Clearance but it is not essential if clearance has lapsed.
