Senior Estimator, Cost Controller, Cost Engineer

We have an excellent new requirement for a Senior Estimator to join a leading organisation based in Glasgow. As a Senior Estimating Manager, we would require you to provide the strong management of people and business resources through the developments of a variety of Cost Estimations for a high value and complex amount of projects.

Rate – £63.00 per hour

Location – Glasgow – Twice a Week On site

Duration – 6-12 Months

The Role

– You will be required to ensure key Cost Management Principles in which are aligned with key Risk Management principles to establish requirements within the overall budget envelope

– Undertake key reviews of Cost Estimates which will include challenging proposals using cost benchmarks and norms within the review processes

– Accomplish a strong understanding of Cost Management techniques

– Understand work processes of other disciplines and functions on projects and proposals

– Communicating cost related issues so that cost led designs are able to be formulated

Key Skills

– The ability to convert estimates into budgets for control purposes as well as monitoring and evaluating the implementation of risk, opportunity and uncertainty control measures

– Previous experiences of developing an analysis of external influencing factors such as inflation and market trends

– Preferably you would have come from an Infrastructure or construction type background

– Previous experience of leading multiple teams within in the estimating process and facilitating key communications

– Experience of cost architecture/engineering/modelling
