Key Responsibilities
- To be accountable for the overall project costs and management of all elements of the project.
- To ensure that the project is being managed in accordance with the appropriate methodology or agreed processes and procedures.
- To deliver technical equipment/systems to client sites.
- To ensure all activities are managed to the client’s and SSL’s agreed requirements; delivering to timescales, budget, acceptance criteria, quality criteria, tolerance, contractual commitments and agreed service levels in the period immediately after cutover to live operations.
- Ensure that all SSL enablers are in place, together with their ongoing administration and maintenance.
- Plan and coordinate the SSL teams to deliver the equipment/systems to client sites, as per the (resourced) plan. Monitor and control progress against the agreed baseline plan of pre-event, event and post event activities.
- To coordinate with multi-stakeholder counterparts to ensure the SSL plan aligns with the clients (master) plan. Ensure all stakeholders are informed, involved and appropriately supportive of the activities and tasks.
- The Deployment Project baseline is established and formally approved by the appropriate authority client/SSL environment.
- To establish and agree project acceptance criteria with the Programme Manager and the client, which will be used to confirm achievement of objectives and appropriate sign-off into business as usual service operations.
- Well defined and SMART project success criteria are developed, reviewed and formally approved by the appropriate authority within the client environment.
- Quality and acceptance criteria are established and formally approved.
- To ensure appropriate and timely reporting and escalation to the Programme Manager, Client Director and all service suppliers. Initiate timely, corrective action where required.
- To identify and manage RAIDO and take responsibility for reporting in a timely, open and appropriate manner.
- Create, implement and/or follow agreed processes to deliver a service to the approved quality levels (H&S, Engineer Change Request (ECR), Security, ISO…).
- Represent SSL’s best interests during site visits, surveys and meetings. Chair meetings/working groups, produce agendas and meetings notes.
- Coordinate the production and approval of Deployment documentation (site survey reports, technical and delivery).
- Produce project documentation to effectively manage delivery (RAIDO, PID…).
- To ensure implementation of effective reporting and governance processes.
- To hand Deployment capability over to the agreed operational delivery structure/Business As Usual (BAU).
Essential
- Industry qualifications (Prince 2, Agile) and real-life experience of projec
- Experience of working with MoD.
- Experience of working with technical professionals and delivering complex technical systems.
- Skilled in delivering against the ECR process.
