Data Scientist- SQL/ Python/ Analytics

£400-£420 pd via Umbrella

London, Hybrid working, 2 days per week in the office

Highly successful business is looking to bring in a Data Scientist to join the Sales Finance team.

The team acts as superusers of analytics & BI platforms (e.g. Tableau, SAP BusinessObjects), databases (e.g. Dremio, Snowflake), and data science platforms (e.g. Dataiku). The business helps to train and encourage adoption of these technologies with the wider Sales Finance team.

Role:

• Create and maintain data pipelines and machine learning solutions.
• Manage the end-to-end solution delivery, including: gathering business requirements, designing and building solutions, and managing testing, training, and rollout.

Skills/Experience:

• Proven experience working as a Data Scientist / Data Analyst with a strong quantitative / technical background
• Experience with cloud data science platforms: Dataiku (preferred), DataRobot, Databricks, AWS SageMaker, Google Cloud AI Platform, etc.
• 2-3 years’ experience in Python (with emphasis on packages like Pandas, scikit-learn, statsmodels)
• Proficient SQL skills
• Strong understanding of the theory behind statistical analysis and machine learning
• Experience in applying data science / machine learning techniques to provide solutions to real business problems
• Experience in developing and maintaining data pipelines
• BS/MS in Data Science/Machine Learning, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems, or related field

Any experience of the following is not essential but would be a bonus: Git, Tableau, Essbase or Business Objects.
