Data Scientist (Python)- GenAI / Agentic AI

£650-£750 per day (Umbrella)
6 months initial | Long-term programme
Remote | 2 days per month in London

Global client building out a GenAI capability – looking for hands-on contractors to deliver LLM-powered products and agentic workflows in production.

The role is focused on building real-world GenAI applications.

The role

• Building LLM-driven applications (copilots, chatbots, automation tools)
• Developing agentic workflows (multi-step reasoning, tool use, task execution)
• Implementing RAG pipelines and integrating with business data
• Deploying production-grade AI systems in the cloud

Skills/experience

• Strong Python (production-level)
• Proven GenAI / LLM experience in a commercial setting
• Experience with LLM APIs (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic, Google)
• Hands-on with agent frameworks (e.g. LangChain or similar)
• Experience with RAG / embeddings / vector search
• Cloud experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

Nice to have

• Prompt engineering / LLM optimisation
• Performance, cost, and latency tuning
• Traditional ML background
• Experience working within the Financial Services sector
