We are looking for an experienced Data Process Optimisation Specialist to work at the intersection of business analysis, data, and process improvement. The role uses data and insight to make informed decisions about how business processes operate, identifying inefficiencies and driving measurable improvements within a secure environment.

Key Details

• Rate: £520 per day
• IR35 Status: Outside IR35
• Security Clearance: Active SC clearance (essential)
• Additional Clearance: NPPV3 (desirable)
• Location: London (on‑site 3 days per week)
• Contract Length: 3‑month initial contract with strong likelihood of extension
• Start: ASAP

Role Overview

This role blends business analysis, data analysis, and process optimisation. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand how business processes function, use data to assess performance, and identify opportunities to optimise, automate, or redesign processes to improve efficiency, quality, and decision‑making.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse existing business processes to understand pain points, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities
• Use data and reporting to inform decisions around process improvement and optimisation
• Design and deliver Power BI dashboards and reports to support insight‑driven decision‑making
• Automate manual or repetitive data and reporting processes where appropriate
• Elicit and document business requirements and translate them into optimised data‑led solutions
• Work collaboratively with business and technical stakeholders to implement and embed process improvements
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across reporting and analysis outputs
• Document process changes, analysis outcomes, and optimisation recommendations

Key Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in a hybrid role combining Business Analysis, Data Analysis, and Process Optimisation
• Strong ability to use data to evaluate and improve business processes
• Hands‑on experience with Power BI (data modelling, DAX, dashboard design)
• Experience analysing process performance using data and metrics
• Strong understanding of data transformation and preparation (e.g. Power Query)
• Confident engaging with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
• Active SC clearance is mandatory
• Experienced contractor, comfortable working outside IR35

Nice to Have

• NPPV3 clearance
• SQL or scripting experience to support deeper data analysis and automation
• Experience working in secure, public sector, or regulated environments
• Exposure to process improvement approaches (e.g. Lean, continuous improvement, service design)
