£500-£600 per day (via Umbrella)
Hybrid – 2 days per week in Central London
We are seeking an experienced Data Management Analyst to join a leading Insurance Company on a long-term contract.
The Data Governance Analyst with strong experience in Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) and metadata management to join our growing Data & Analytics team.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring data quality, consistency, and compliance across our enterprise data landscape – supporting critical business and regulatory initiatives within the insurance domain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the design, implementation, and ongoing management of data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
- Work hands-on with Informatica IDMC (including Axon, EDC, and Data Quality components) to manage metadata, lineage, and data quality rules.
- Collaborate with data stewards, data owners, and business stakeholders to drive data governance adoption and maturity.
- Develop and maintain metadata catalogs and ensure alignment with business glossaries and data models.
- Analyse and document data flows, lineage, and definitions across key systems, especially within the insurance data landscape.
- Support regulatory and compliance initiatives such as Solvency II, IFRS 17, or data privacy regulations.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve data quality, accessibility, and governance processes.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven experience as a Data Governance Analyst, Data Steward, or similar role.
- Hands-on expertise with Informatica IDMC (including Axon, EDC, or Data Quality tools).
- Strong understanding of metadata management, data lineage, and data cataloging concepts.
- Experience within the insurance industry (life, general, or reinsurance) – strong understanding of insurance data domains (policy, claims, underwriting, etc.) preferred.
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA DMBOK) and data management best practices.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
