Data Analyst- London Markets- £600-£650 pd via Umbrella

London/ Hybrid

Initially for 6 months with long term potential

We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join a major Underwriting (UW) transformation programme. Working closely with programme leadership, data architects, and the Opex team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future-state data landscape and improving data-driven operational processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct deep insight into the current-state data environment, including data sources, definitions, quality, and usage
• Partner with the Data Architect to design the target data structure and governance framework
• Work closely with the Opex team to support process improvement and transformation using robust data models, data dictionaries, and lineage documentation
• Map data across systems, particularly where naming conventions and structures differ
• Build and maintain a comprehensive programme-wide data dictionary
• Understand and document schemas and demonstrate how they interact across platforms
• Investigate and address known gaps in existing capabilities, especially across ETL processes and cross-system data consistency

Skills/experience:

• Strong experience working with complex data landscapes
• Experience of working within the London Markets sector is essential
• Excellent analytical and documentation skills
• Proven SQL skills
• Familiarity with data modelling, lineage tracing, and data governance principles
• Experience with ETL processes and cross-system data mapping
