Job Title: DevOps Engineer

Location: Remote with occasional travel to Bristol

Salary: £70,000

About the Role
* Work across the full software delivery life cycle, supporting development, deployment, and ongoing optimisation of applications
* Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure using AWS and infrastructure as code principles
* Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient, reliable software delivery
* Collaborate closely with developers to ensure performance, reliability, and security across the platform
* Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions to ensure system health and performance
* Support continuous improvement in DevOps practices, automation, and tooling

Must Have Experience
* Strong experience working within AWS
* Proven ability working with containers, particularly Docker
* Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automation, and release management
* Strong experience with version control systems including Git and GitLab, and familiarity with GitFlow
* Knowledge of security best practice, including credential and secret management
* Experience with monitoring, alerting, and observability tooling
* Strong scripting skills, particularly Bash
* Experience working in Agile software development environments
* A problem-solving mindset with a collaborative approach to engineering challenges

Nice to Have
* Experience with databases such as Redis, MySQL, and MongoDB
* Familiarity with testing and development tools including Cypress and Postman
* Understanding of networking principles including protocols, ports, routing, firewalls, and ACLs
* Experience managing DNS including domain registration and record configuration
* Exposure to DocumentDB, DataDog, or ISO27001 environments
* Experience working across JavaScript ecosystems including Node.js, Next.js, React, and React Native

* An experienced DevOps Engineer who enjoys building reliable, scalable systems
* Comfortable working across multiple parts of the technology stack in a fast-paced environment
* A strong communicator who works effectively with engineers and stakeholders
* Proactive, adaptable, and keen to contribute to the success of a growing team
