Automation & Data Reporting Consultant (Power BI)

We are seeking an experienced Automation & Data Reporting Consultant to support the design, automation, and delivery of high‑quality data reporting and analysis solutions. This role will focus on improving reporting efficiency and enabling data‑driven decisions within a secure environment.

Key Details

• Rate: £375 per day
• IR35 Status: Outside IR35
• Security Clearance: Active SC clearance (essential)
• Additional Clearance: NPPV3 (desirable)
• Location: London (on‑site 3 days per week)
• Contract Length: 3‑month initial contract with strong likelihood of extension
• Start: ASAP

Responsibilities

• Automate recurring data reporting processes to improve efficiency and data reliability
• Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports in Power BI
• Carry out data analysis to identify trends, insights, and recommendations
• Work with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into robust data solutions
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and appropriate governance across reporting outputs
• Document automation logic and reporting processes

Key Skills & Experience

• Strong hands‑on experience with Power BI (DAX, data modelling, dashboard design)
• Proven experience in data analysis and automated reporting
• Ability to work with multiple data sources (e.g. SQL databases, Excel, cloud‑based platforms)
• Solid understanding of data transformation and preparation (Power Query)
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
• Active SC clearance is essential
• Comfortable operating in an outside IR35 contracting environment

Nice to Have

• NPPV3 clearance
• SQL or scripting experience for enhanced data manipulation
• Experience improving or modernising existing reporting frameworks
• Background working in secure, government, or regulated environments
