Scrum Master – Insurance

£600 per day – Umbrella engagement

Sanderson is currently working with an insurance firm undergoing an organisation-wide Agile transformation. The client requires an experienced Scrum Master with a background in the insurance sector to support an established team that is new to Agile ways of working.

The role involves working closely with pricing analysts, underwriters, and data scientists across multiple workstreams. As such, the ideal candidate will have strong domain knowledge and prior experience working within underwriting and pricing teams.

Full Stack AI Engineer (Agentic AI & LangGraph) – Contract
Duration: 3 Months
Rate: Up to £700 per day (Inside IR35)

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack AI Engineer to join a growing tech company on an initial 3-month contract. This role is ideal for someone with strong, hands-on experience building agentic AI systems, particularly using LangGraph, and who enjoys working in fast-paced, product-led environments.

The Role

You will play a key role in designing, building, and deploying AI-powered products, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver intelligent, scalable solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and developing full stack AI applications with a focus on agentic AI architectures

• Building and orchestrating AI agents using LangGraph (and related frameworks and tools)

• Integrating LLMs with APIs, tools, databases, and front-end interfaces

• Collaborating with product managers, designers, and engineers across the business

• Contributing to system architecture, technical design, and engineering best practices

• Supporting rapid prototyping, experimentation, and iteration of AI-driven features

About You

Essential experience:

• Demonstrable, hands-on experience building agentic AI systems

SC Cleared Data Architect – Defence (Contract)

Duration: Until 1st February 2027
Rate: Up to £575 per day (Inside IR35)
Location: Corsham (Hybrid – 4 days per week on-site; occasional travel to DMS Whittington)

We are seeking an SC Cleared Data Architect to support a major Defence programme. This long-term contract role is suited to an experienced data professional with a strong background in data architecture, modelling, and governance within large, complex, and highly regulated environments.

You will play a key role in designing and assuring data architectures that meet strategic organisational needs, working closely with senior architects, delivery teams, and a wide range of technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The Role

As a Data Architect, you will be responsible for shaping and assuring data solutions across the programme, ensuring alignment with data standards, governance frameworks, and security policies.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing, supporting, and guiding the upgrade, management, decommissioning, and archiving of data in line with data policy

• Defining and maintaining data technology architecture, including metadata, integration, BI, and data warehouse architectures

• Producing, maintaining, and reverse-engineering data models to meet organisational and programme needs

• Providing input into and maintaining data dictionaries and metadata repositories

• Undertaking data profiling and source system analysis to support effective data use

• Ensuring data solutions comply with governance, security, and assurance requirements

• Monitoring compliance with data standards and assessing the impact of breaches

• Supporting multidisciplinary delivery teams with clear data insights and architectural guidance

• Communicating effectively between technical and non-technical stakeholders, managing competing priorities and perspectives

About You

Essential experience:

• Active SC Clearance

• Proven experience working as a Data Architect within Defence or similarly regulated environments

• Strong expertise in data modelling, including conceptual, logical, and physical models

• Experience defining and maintaining data standards, policies, and governance frameworks

• Hands-on experience with metadata management and data integration impact analysis

• Ability to communicate complex data concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences

• Experience working within agile, multidisciplinary delivery teams

• Strong problem management skills, including root cause analysis and preventative measures

Penetration Test Lead – Hands on

Rate – £400 – £500 Inside IR35

We are seeking an experienced Pen Test Lead with strong, hands-on penetration testing expertise to lead and support a small internal testing function.

This role combines technical delivery with day-to-day leadership, overseeing a team of three penetration testers. You’ll be responsible for managing testing intake, scoping engagements, delegating work and ensuring high-quality, timely delivery across multiple assessments.

Alongside team leadership, you’ll remain technically engaged, providing guidance on complex testing activities, validating findings and supporting continuous improvement of tooling and methodology. An understanding of red team concepts and adversary led testing is highly desirable.
