Our client a well known and establish Insurance and Wealth Investment Company are actively looking to hire a Finance Project Manager to join a busy project within their Finance Team.

Title: Project Manager
Duration: 6 Months
Location: York or Bristol – 2 or 3 days per week onsite (must be able to commit to 2 days)
Day Rate: £550 to £650prd (Inside IR35, via Umbrella)

The Projects: Running 3 Finance Projects across our clients Finance Team

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Looking for a seasoned Finance Project Manager
  • Experience of working with Finance / Actuarial / Investment Teams
  • Knowledge of Actuarial and Reconciliation/Accounts projects
  • MUST HAVE previous experience of working on Finance related Projects
  • Previous experience of working with CFO’s and Senior Finance Stakeholders across multiple Finance Functions
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Ability to delivery across multiple projects
  • Experience of turning around projects quickly
  • Identify and Recover any gaps within a project.
  • Have worked within the Financial Services or Insurance or for a large complex regulated business
  • Anyone who had previous banking & payments experience or had previously build corporate bank accounts would ideal.

    They are looking to bring in a specialist security archietct, with demonstrable experience of having architected a SIEM capability ustiling the Elasticsearch toolset.

    There has been an initial scoping, you will come in and provide a full-scale holistic solution and will have the support of the architetural team that provided the initial scope.

    Architecture & Design

    • Define and implement SIEM architecture using Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Beats).
    • Design log ingestion pipelines, data models, and correlation rules for security monitoring.
    • Develop observability frameworks integrating logs, metrics, and traces.

    Implementation & Engineering

    • Deploy and configure ElasticSearch clusters, Kibana dashboards, and Logstash pipelines.
    • Integrate SIEM with cloud-native observability tools (AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, GCP Operations Suite).
    • Automate log collection and enrichment using Beats, OpenTelemetry, and scripting.

    Security Use Cases & Threat Detection

    • Build and maintain SIEM use cases, alerts, and dashboards for threat detection.
    • Map detection rules to frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK, STRIDE, and NIST CSF.
    • Collaborate with SOC teams to refine incident response workflows.

    Governance & Compliance

    • Align SIEM architecture with Secure by Design and Zero Trust principles.
    • Support compliance with ISO 27001, PCI DSS, etc
    • Document architecture, SyOps, and security standards for audit readiness.
