If so, this PMO Analyst role offers the chance to play a pivotal part in driving successful project and portfolio delivery across a diverse change landscape.

As PMO Analyst, you’ll be a key member of the central change team, supporting the PMO Manager in governing and controlling programmes and projects across multiple portfolios. You’ll help ensure projects stay on track by providing clear reporting, robust governance, and proactive risk and issue management, enabling leaders and delivery teams to make confident, informed decisions.

 

A snapshot of responsibilities:

  • Embedding robust PMO governance to improve delivery quality, consistency and pace across complex portfolios
  • Driving control and accountability through proactive RAID management, strong reporting, and close collaboration with project and workstream leads
  • Supporting informed decision‑making via continuous PMO improvement and accurate financial tracking (forecasting, accruals, variance and benefits)

 

What you’ll bring

  • Proven experience working within a PMO or change function, ideally across complex regulatory and business initiatives
  • Financial Services experience is a must
  • Strong knowledge of PMO governance disciplines such as RAID, change control, reporting and assurance
  • Confidence managing multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into meaningful insights
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to work across all levels
  • A proactive, pragmatic mindset with the ability to challenge constructively and drive improvement
  • Strong experience using PPM tools and Microsoft applications

    Role Overview

    We are seeking an experienced PSO professional to stabilise and run programme governance in a high-scrutiny environment. This is a hands-on role requiring strong planning, control, and reporting capability, alongside pragmatic support to Agile delivery.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Establish and operate effective programme governance and controls.

    • Build and maintain integrated, tiered programme plans in Microsoft Project (.mpp), managing dependencies, variance, and change.

    • Own RAID / RAIDO discipline, ensuring clear ownership, actions, escalation, and timely resolution.

    • Produce board-ready monthly reporting with clear delivery narrative, decisions required, and action/decision logs.

    • Work across delivery leads and suppliers, constructively challenging unrealistic plans.

    • Provide practical Agile support to the RUBY delivery stream, including running key Scrum ceremonies and tracking blockers/actions.

    • Use M365 tools effectively (Teams, SharePoint, Planner) for collaboration, document control, and action tracking.

    Essential Experience

    • Proven PSO / PMO delivery experience in complex or high-scrutiny programmes.

    • Strong integrated planning experience using Microsoft Project.

    • Excellent governance, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.

    • Practical experience supporting Agile delivery.

    Desirable

    • Experience in secure or regulated environments (e.g. government, defence, law enforcement).

    • Infrastructure programme exposure.

    • Ability to streamline governance without losing control.

    • Relevant certifications (MSP, P3O, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum) are helpful but not essential.
