We’re recruiting for an experienced Data Engineer to join a large-scale, secure programme delivering critical data capabilities within a complex environment. This is a long-term engagement offering genuine stability through to the end of 2026, working as part of a high-performing, multidisciplinary team.

The role is fully remote, however candidates must be UK-based. Due to the nature of the programme, active SC clearance is highly desirable.

You’ll be working across a modern AWS-driven data landscape, contributing to the design, build and optimisation of robust, secure, and scalable data solutions. This role will suit someone comfortable operating in structured environments, with strong engineering fundamentals and a proactive, delivery-focused mindset.

• Strong hands-on experience with IBM DataStage

• Extensive experience in data migration and ETL processes (both batch and real-time)

Data Acquisition Manager – Contract

We’re partnering with a financial services client who is delivering a new suite of Data Products into consumer systems as part of a broader Data & Insights transformation. To support this, they are strengthening their Data Acquisition capability and require an experienced contractor to supplement BAU activity and manage critical third-party data relationships.

This is not a hands-on engineering role. Instead, it sits at the intersection of commercial, governance and data strategy – ideal for someone who understands how data flows through enterprise environments and can confidently manage suppliers and contractual obligations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing and developing relationships with third-party data providers
• Negotiating and reviewing data licensing agreements to ensure favourable commercial and operational terms
• Supporting the execution of the external data sourcing strategy aligned to business and regulatory requirements
• Understanding how external data feeds into internal pipelines and downstream consumer systems
• Ensuring all externally sourced data aligns with the organisation’s Data Governance framework

We’re supporting a secure, mission-critical programme seeking a hands-on Senior Database Engineer to take ownership of a 1TB+ SQL Server estate.

This is a delivery-focused engineering role – not documentation or governance. You’ll build on existing analysis to validate findings, map database structures to application functionality, and implement safe, incremental improvements to performance, resilience, and security.

Key Responsibilities

• Rationalise and optimise a large SQL Server database

• Identify redundant/high-risk data structures

• Implement data retention and archival strategies

• Improve performance (indexing, partitioning, query tuning)

• Strengthen HA, resilience, and database security

• Safely promote schema changes through controlled release processes

Required Experience

• Deep hands-on Microsoft SQL Server expertise

They are looking for a highly experienced Stibo STEP SME to act as the organisation’s internal subject matter expert during this critical phase.

The Role:

This position is less about broad architecture theory and more about deep, hands-on Stibo STEP expertise.

You will:

• Act as the internal authority on STEP capability, configuration and best practice
• Provide independent technical oversight during platform implementation and migration activities
• Ensure the solution design and configuration fully leverage STEP’s native functionality
• Challenge and validate technical decisions, configurations and delivery outputs
• Partner with business stakeholders to ensure requirements are properly translated into STEP solutions
• Provide clarity, confidence and technical assurance across both business and delivery teams

This is a key assurance role – someone who understands what “good” looks like in STEP and can confidently guide the organisation through implementation decisions.
