Senior Business Analyst – 12‑Month FTC (Hybrid)

  • £50,000 to £60,000 base + bonus + pension + 25 days holiday.
  • Bournemouth
  • 2 days per week in the office.

We’re hiring a Senior Business Analyst to join our client’s business change portfolio team on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract of employment. This hybrid role offers flexible working, with two days per week required in the office.

The Opportunity

You’ll deliver high‑quality business analysis across the full business change lifecycle, from shaping ideas through to successful delivery. Working closely with stakeholders, architects, and project teams, you’ll define and document requirements, manage risks and dependencies, ensure end‑to‑end traceability, and support effective delivery practices.

      What We’re Looking For

      • Proven experience as a Business Analyst on large transformation or organisational change programme – ideally within a Justice or Policing environment.
      • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, ideally in public‑sector, justice or policing environments.
      • Ability to work with ambiguity, navigate cultural change and translate complex problems into clear insights.
      • Confident in process mapping, requirements definition and analytical documentation.

      Security Clearance

      • Minimum: SC Clearance (essential)
      • NPPV2 highly desirable – sponsorship available for suitable candidates

        Role Overview

        We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to support a high-profile government programme. This role requires strong analytical capability, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to translate complex data sets into structured business use cases that inform programme delivery and strategic decision-making.

        You will play a key role in validating large, complex datasets, working closely with distributed teams, and supporting the development of a robust programme Business Case.


        Key Responsibilities

        • Analyse and validate complex global datasets relating to user numbers and devices by location, using advanced Microsoft Excel techniques.

        • Conduct data quality assurance, identifying inconsistencies, gaps, and anomalies, and resolving them through stakeholder engagement.

        • Collaborate with data owners and local teams to verify and refine dataset accuracy.
