Senior Engineer (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) Pipeline) Edinburgh

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Engineer to join a leading financial services company based in Edinburgh. If you love exploring new technologies on your worn and strive to keep yourself up to date with the latest technology and trends then look no further.

Role responsibilities;

  • Technical SME in the operational support of modern day, best in breed engineering CI/CD pipelines and tooling;
  • Coaching and mentoring less experienced developers, sharing knowledge through constructive reviews and giving the necessary feedback and direction;
  • Resolve and act as escalation and coordination point for incidents and problems related to affected Engineering CI/CD pipelines;
  • Perform Audits and analysis of existing tooling and report on findings;

Skills and experience

  • A recognised SME in the understanding of modern day code pipelines and associated automation;
  • Proven experience in the operational support of the Atlassian product suite; Primarily Jira and Confluence;
  • Proven experience in Code repositories; Primarily BitBucket, GitHub Enterprise and GitLab;
  • Proven experience in enterprise artefact repositories; Primarily Nexus, SVN and S3;
  • Knowledge of open source vulnerability scanning tools; Primarily BlackDuck;
  • Knowledge and support of Static Code Analysis tools; Primarily Coverity;
  • Knowledge of cloud; Primarily AWS;


  • Knowledge of security standards including SAML, OAuth and OpenID Connect;
  • Experience in Java, Node, Python;
  • Experience in migration from SaaS Jira/Confluence to Cloud;
  • Experience in migration from SaaS BitBucket to GitHub;
  • Experience in migration from Nexus OSS artefacts, S3 Artefacts and SVN artefacts to Nexus R Pro;
