Our Bristol based retail brand is currently looking for a Project Delivery Lead to join their Enablement Business Function.

Reporting directly into the Head of Centre of Excellence, this role will play a critical part in the delivery of IT projects and associated processes with in Finance, HR and procurement. This position partners with the Lead Architect and Lead Business Analyst to provide leadership and alignment to group functions that are align with the strategic IT plan.

In order to be a success in this role its imperative that you have documented success in project delivery and be able to shape, develop and improve project delivery capability as well as the following accountabilities:

  • Manage a team of Project Managers and provide oversight on all project timescales across the portfolio.
  • Take direct accountability for the programme management of one or more significant projects to time, budget and quality objectives.
  • Work with Business Partners, IT Business partners and Architects in developing investment proposals.
  • Actively as the quality measure for all delivery and progress of projects.
  • Ensure that the IT PMO is provided with timely, accurate delivery information.
  • Ensure all relevant project documents as stored and archived as required.
  • Work with the Strategic Supplier Management and PMO Leads to ensure that major suppliers are provided with forward demand / resource plans, as well as contribute to evaluation of supplier performance.
  • Own and manage the identification and management of project interdependencies along with the associated risks and issues.

Experience

  • Educated to degree level, ideally in Information Technology, Engineering Business, Economics or equivalent.
  • A track record of driving business change as part of IT programme delivery with a demonstrated ability to assess evidence and make decisions that challenge the business norm.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with proven ability of building and managing key relationships with internal IS and business stakeholders.
  • Engaging, articulate and able to influence across internal IS and business stakeholders.
